Catching up

There is SOOO much to catch up on I don't know where to start. We have been super busy with the day to day things in life- sometimes it even feels a little ground hog dayish and so crazy it's comical all at the same time. I know that one day I will get "caught up" with "life"- I hope. For now we are just enjoying the journey- messy house and all. I have found that I am a lot less stressed when I am not trying to keep the house SUPER clean, which is nearly impossible with 4 little ones.

Here are some pictures of Lucy who turned 6 months old last week! Time is flyin, she is a great baby- very happy and will smile at anyone who will look at her. She is much loved and such a joy to have in our home.

We had so much fun with Sophie, we went to the stream to catch minnows and feed the ducks in the pond close by. It didn't take long for the kids to get soaked, a good time was had by all. I don't know what's up with the bags on the head- crazy kids!

A fun, gorgeous day at the beach- sunny and 60 degrees. The guys went surfing (I was cold just watching) One of these days I will get daring enough. There was a HUGE sand dune that we climbed where I came to a realization of just how out shape I am. The kids on the other hand climbed it a few times and still had energy left over.

Jack and Kasey decorated this space shuttle cake for the Blue and Gold banquet. They did it all themselves- I was pretty impressed. Jack did all the cake baking and frosting, Kasey made the little stand for the space shuttle. They won "most out of this world". The theme for the cakes the boys did was "American" there was a corn dog cake (one of my favorites) Battle cakes, flag cakes all sorts of American themed cakes.

Taylor, Mr. Independent- I will do it myself. Whether it's buttoning a shirt, buckling himself in the car or putting on his shoes- he HAS to do it himself. He has to start dressing for church extra early because it is a process- thankfully he let me fix his shirt this week.

Jack's Birthday was today- guess how old he turned?... Thanks for the idea megan. I made the mistake about 7 years ago of decorating the downstairs really fun for the kids birthdays, balloons, streamers the works. So of course now it is just expected- and wouldn't be a birthday with out it. I was out of steamers- but he loved these 9's hanging all around. All Taylor could say was "what the heck?" and then asked if heck was a bad word.

Jack had a fun party playing laser tag with a bunch of friends from school. A lot of the pictures came out blurry, so this is the best we could do. I really did try to get all the boys to look and me and this was the best shot. Jack is a fun boy to have in our family- lot's of energy and always caring for his brothers and sisters. Love you Jack!

Your little baby has a lot of Kasey in her I think... (Am I the only one to say that?) I think you each have a few that look like either you or Kasey. That is neat.
You never updated us all on the fresh food diet...
What have you added in and how has it affected you.
P.S. Neat pictures at the beach.

Ok that sounded a bit bossy. As if you have nothing else to do but fill me in on the fresh foods diet.
:) :) :)
Just wondering...

Oh That is great!!!! Are the sugar cravings creeping there way back? I hope not!!! That always happens to me. And I don't know why I do it because I feel so great when I don't have the sugar!!!!
P.S. Who doesn't have "more to lose?"

Great pictures Andrea! Happy Birthday to Jack :) How come our kids are growing up so fast?

Lucy is so cute, Jessie keeps asking if we can babysit her. :) I think Jessie loves her.

We need to get together again soon.

Great to see pictures of your family. I can't believe how big Jack is!! We still occasionally laugh about that time when he was about 4 months old eating ice-cream and freeking out whenever you took it away from him. That was SO hilarious!! What a cutie!! We miss you guys and wish we could see you.
